With over 21 years of progressive aviation safety experience and over 30 years in commercial flying, Khalil is currently an active B787 Captain at Gulf Air. In this role, he manages the Safety Management System and Emergency Response.
Khalil’s aviation journey began in 1994, and he joined the Safety Department as a Flight Safety Officer in 2003. Since then, he has advanced to lead a team of safety professionals responsible for Flight Safety, Cabin Safety, Ramp Safety, Technical Safety oversight, and Emergency Response Planning.
Khalil is an active member of several esteemed safety bodies and committees on the global safety front, including ISASI, UKFSC, GFSA, and FSF. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics, which has provided a strong foundation for his extensive career in aviation safety.
