Mr Abdulkarim A. Al-Ghamdi is Saudi Aramco’s Senior Vice President for Project Management.
He has over 21 years’ experience of making measurable contributions towards Saudi Aramco’s strategic and commercial goals, and has worked in numerous different fields including Oil, Gas, Distribution, Marine, Refining and Budgeting.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi was the Vice President of Power Systems before his current role as the Senior Vice President of Project Management. He has held a number of Operational and Planning positions within several business lines, namely: Budgeting Director and Planning Manager, managing the company capital program and long term investment plans, Executive Assistant, Petron Corporations Philippines; Accelerated Transformation Program (ATP), ATP Office; Manager, Process & Control Systems Department; Manager, Berri Gas Plant Department; Manager, Uthmaniyah Gas Plant Department; Manager, Facilities Planning Department and Chief Engineer, Engineering Services.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi holds a Masters Degree (MS) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Degree (BSc) in Chemical Engineering from the King Fahd University for Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) and attended Harvard Business School from 2011-2012.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi holds various Board Member positions as well within Government Societies. He is Member of the Board of Saudi Aramco &, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company (JIGPC), Saudi Aramco Total Refining & Petrochemical Company (SATORP) and Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC). Mr. Ghamdi previously held the following positions Ex-Chairman of Fadhili CoGeneration Company, Ex-Chairman of The National Power Academy, Ex-Chairman of Aramco Power, Ex-Board member of Dow Chemical Company (SADARA), Marafiq Company and Power Cogeneration Plant Company (PCPC).
