Presentation Abstract:
“Safety First”, right?! We safety professionals keep saying and spreading it. But what if Oxygen masks drop on a flight, and you are seated next to a dependent? Who should wear the mask first? Get it?
Inherently, safety practitioners are on a none-stop quest to seek and secure systems and solutions to eliminate and mitigate work-related suffering to workforce. This, however, doesn’t mean that these guardians don’t need to be safeguarded from and against what causes them suffering.
This presentation sheds the light on four aspects safety practitioners need to pay attention in order to help them help others without endangering themselves.
Drawn from a safety practitioner’s field experience and sound human behavior principles, Mohamed Shukri introduces “Safety PRACTITIONERS First” a simple model for them to remember – and apply – as they relentlessly reinforce and live: “Safety First”.
