I am delighted to welcome such a distinguished group of stakeholders to the ASSP Professional Development Conference and Exhibition, in the beautiful Kingdom of Bahrain.

Driven by a theme of “Sustaining HSE Excellence,” this event allows us a unique opportunity to leverage off some of the world’s foremost thinkers, professionals, and subject matter experts across a wide range of disciplines. As we emerge from the challenges of the past few years, we are once again able to gather in person.

This year we welcome a number of outstanding dignitaries, storytellers and keynote speakers for what promises to be an event to remember. Specifically focused on information on the latest trends, lessons learned, case studies and best practices in workplace safety, this will prove to be a valuable platform for us all in terms of our journey towards safety excellence.

Our agenda allows all of us the opportunity to learn, reflect and be inspired, while our sessions include numerous panel discussions and technical workshops. I encourage all of you to not only discuss our successes, but also spend time exploring potential solutions to the important challenges being faced by our sector today.

During this conference, we will delve into a full spectrum of topics affecting the modern realm of HSE. We will cover everything from the importance of safety leadership to safety on the construction site, the psychology of safety to digitalization, and of course – the value of diversity when looking to build an effective safety culture.
