Does Award a strategy for motivation and excellence?
Safety Leadership, Process Safety, Environment and Health
S-Chem’s e-IRIS awards motivate incident reporting and investigation, fostering a non-punitive, safety-focused culture. The e-IRIS (Electronic Incident Reporting & Investigation System) Annual Awards at S-Chem Petrochemical have significantly improved incident reporting and investigation quality. By recognizing employees through awards like Highest Incident Reporter and Best 5 Why Investigation, S-Chem fosters a culture of safety and transparency. The initiative emphasizes thorough investigations, timely reporting, and actionable outcomes, supported by effective communication and training. This non-punitive approach encourages employees to report incidents without fear, leading to better identification of root causes and implementation of corrective actions. The digitalization and automation of the E-IRIS system enhance safety governance, ensuring continuous improvement in operational excellence. Overall, the program motivates employees, promotes personal ownership, and contributes to S-Chem’s “Journey to Zero” safety strategy.
